To Email Or Not To Email

To email or not to email? That is the question :P

I’ve been receiving email from friends in the industry, HR recruiting personnel, consulting firms and the like… from local employment to international deployment (Singapore and UK mainly).

For the past few days or weeks, I’ve been meaning to transfer to a different company. The thing is I just joined this company last June and a four-month stint in your curriculum vitae is not advantageous for any applicant… but I’m soooo bored in my current position. I need something that will make me do my stuff… and part of it is dealing with people. I was able to do Business Analysis in my previous work and I enjoyed doing it.

Unfortunately, in my current work, there were no BA openings when they hired me. So instead of bumming around, I accepted a position I held in my first and second companies. Now that I’m in QA again, I sort of miss the challenge of talking to SMEs, interviewing and attending meetings with Managers for their requirements, and the presenting the proposed project to the CEO which was literally a pain in the neck… the presentation that is. :P

I’m not yet final in this moving to another company thingy, but I would like to know my value, again. :P

A certain headhunter whose client is at The Fort is rushing me to send the package I want and says that it’s a BA position and I might as well give it a try since it’s what I really want. To think that she’s the one who placed me with my current company, I just thought it’s not nice of her to do that and I hope she’ll get caught by our HR. :P

So now, I’ve sent my CV to those who asked but I haven’t gone to a single interview or exam, yet.
